The truck deal was a long ongoing saga. Kept bill in the loop on wife and needing a team truck. Just before vacation there were a couple 17 kws floating around that he was trying to get me in but those fell through. Then monday of my week off cleaned out mack in the am and in the pm a driver was in it bouncing back to wytheville with it. No trucks that day told to call on friday to get a truck.

Friday call and get story about more trucks needing minor but important work, "when yall leaving again" momday bill, "screw it, just take one of the team volvos out front"

We got super lucky in the truck game. Expected 17 kw, got a 18 volvo.

Im just glad im not in nj or nyc, id go crazy from all the beeps!

I got my CDL back in 2012 but only drove for a couple months due to family issues. Now I'm getting ready to get back on the road. This time with my oldest son who is 21. We are going to team drive and looking for a good fit.

Washington requires you to carry 2 spare chains. WA requires 5 chains 4 on the drives 1 on the trailer so a total of 7.

 

I had a feeling you would get one of those Volvos, bet it feels like a Rolls Royce after that Mack. Those beeps are why other teams have turned them down, must be a pain when team driver is trying to sleep.

 

I really need to check what I have. If the one bag I have only has two and I will need another two bags then I am going to need to get rid of some stuff to carry them.
