I've only had one load from night dispatch when I first started and that was because I was calling them about a separate issue. All the other times I've called they had nothing so I don't bother calling.

Been at the yard all day today. 10 new tires, a PM, a few minor issues corrected, and now a 4 stopper to California. This load has a total of 3375 paid miles. Oh, the most important part, no trainee. Yes, I'm happy.

Sitting here at the John Fenwick Service Plaza with a load due in Pennsauken at 7:00am tomorrow morning. Shockingly, I have actually been pre-planned and already have my next load assignment (BH in Groveport) ready to go.
Even more shocking, this is my 2nd pre-plan this week.
I also did the tire-replacement mambo today, though not all 10. Reefer I picked up in Jarratt had a nail in the sidewall and wasn't holding air from the TIS. Didn't want to run the risk of getting pulled into the weigh station between Jarratt and Richmond with a flat tire, so I pulled into the Davis Travel Plaza and called breakdown. Two hours later, the repair dude drove off having replaced the tire.
Then about 15 minutes after that he called back to ask if I'd left yet. I hadn't, because I was eating. Which was good because he'd forgotten to re-attach the tire inflation system... -

I'm holding down the fort in WM. Actually got a load yesterday afternoon, but its only 600ish miles and not due until Monday so here I lay counting freight trains. I wonder if the length of horn blasts correlates to the length of the train itself?. I could just look but that would mean getting out of my bunk which I have no inclination to do as I am trying to compose myself after spending nearly 2 hours at the Petro doing laundry. One guy there was really fretting about going back home and his wife seeing that all his white shirts were now green. Hey, if you pack white shirts to go trucking then you only have yourself to blame, you gets no sympathy from me.
On the other hand I deserve no sympathy for partaking of the iron skillet breakfast buffet. I knew it was a bad idea before I sat down, but I didn't have anything else to do so I rolled the dice. I wound up doing two trips trying to get $9.99 worth of satisfaction, but the house always wins. -
ExtremeUnction Thanks this.

I've been begging for drives for months.
Sitting in Latte,SC,waiting on the recap -
I used to beg for stuff but now I'm like that kid in the childrens charity commercial sitting quietly in the crib because it has learned that even when it cries, no-one will listen.
Finfn1372 Thanks this.
