Sounds like Florida is where all of the cool kids are hanging out these days. I just dropped off a load of Volvo parts in Jacksonville this morning, and then had to go repower a load heading to St. Petersburg from a driver in Georgia.
It was 12:10pm when I met up with him. When he handed me the BOL, I asked him what the appointment time was. He said "noon".
In the absence of a functioning time machine, I don't believe I am going to make the appointment on time.runningman0661, Redtwin and Finfn1372 Thank this. -
Glad it all worked out for Ya, next time I'll include a Streetview
Be safe!Finfn1372 Thanks this. -
Are you picking up at Pero?. Decent folk there, loaded me quick, clean bathroom, vending machines and you can sleep there if time is tight. Parking at truckstops in FL is tight anyway if you are loading at night.

So when I got this load from the other driver, my earliest ETA would've been 5:00pm.
The shipper is PDI. The only two times I've had shipments from them, they've gone to construction sites. So I dug out Google Maps and took a gander at the delivery address. No obvious docks anywhere on site, but plenty of room for construction that won't necessarily show up on Google Maps satellite view.
Construction site. 5:00pm. Friday. Sounds like a recipe for getting to a delivery site and not having anybody available to unload the shipment. So I started making phone calls. Was eventually informed that the construction site closes at 3:30pm, and the soonest I would be able to deliver the load is Monday morning.
I have vacation starting Monday.
I am currently parked at the Flying J in Dade City. Stay tuned for further developments.Lonesome and Need4Speed Thank this.
