The Estate is looking good, JB!

Looks nice Lesli...lol
I have to admit I'm envious, though. I wish I could comfortably do outside Christmas decorating in just a short sleeve shirt...JohnBoy Thanks this. -
Finally, work tomorrow. Been sitting on these coolers since I got home last Sunday. Deliver tomorrow just south of the house, then need to pick up a Trainee in Orlando on my way out. Don’t know how I’m going to survive this, I’m going to be gone for 24 days, then home for 10 days. Then gone for 3 weeks as we ramp up and get ready for 2 weeks in Spain and Portugal.
It’s tough trying to work around all these plans.mitrucker, 4mer trucker, Redtwin and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yeah, I HATE when work gets in the way............
JohnBoy Thanks this. -
If you are headed to the Publix in Pines, race you there!.4mer trucker Thanks this.

You win. I’m still home. I’ll be leaving about 6am. There’s 12 of us going there.

12 !?!?!. My last Publix new build delivery had 10 trucks and I was there 5hrs. It was in the center of Hollywood with nowhere to stage and was a complete cluster. I think the site manager just gave up on organizing the unloads.

I know what you mean. Got sent to a Publix under construction a few weeks ago on the west side of Lake Norman, just north of Charlotte. There were about nine of our trucks, two for other outfits, all packed into this construction road into the place. 7am appointments all around, crews trickling in until 8, and wouldn't ya know it? The single vehicle back-in drive to the dock was one sharp slope up to a sharp slop down the concrete dock pad. First guy in couldn't get his landers past it and the rest of us had trailer and tractor skirts to ruin. Call is made to Harvey, who calls the Phoenix rep, who calls Publix. Few hours later three dumps of heavy stone are brought in to level out the entry grade. After the first OTR gets unloaded and swaps with a daycabber (there were four of them dontcha know and they all had to to get out before their clocks died,) he does it again. The 'cabbers get in and out fine. The next Abby OTR does not; buries his drive tandems getting too wide with his turns. Another wait for the operators to get back from their hour lunch to drag him out and regrade it. He gets it right the second time, the rest of us get in and out over time. I was next to last to hit the dock and I still got nine hours detention. My previous two Publix sites like that were both nearly six hours detention. Really kinda makes me miss the Kroger debacles. Historically, they've been shorter timewasters for me.ExtremeUnction, Need4Speed and MACK E-6 Thank this.

This was only a 4 hour wait. Certainly not the worst HP load. Just waiting to see where they send me best. I headed to the nearest tnpke rest area which happens to be 10 miles from home but I don't dare head there as I want a long home time next year.
