Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Maybe one of the bays should have been setup with an automated machine like they have at the CRE yard in Colton. My truck is so caked with road salt and dirt that it's hard to get in and out of it without getting filthy. My best hope is to get rained on somewhere or find a hose at a fuel island so I can at least get the driver's door and catwalk sprayed off.

 

I'm kidding around. But there is some truth to it, based on the recent content of this thread.

I have been here for a year now, and it has had its ups and downs. But overall it has been a good first year Trucking.

 

@Redtwin call the shop,and ask them to put a truckwash on your truck,than you can go to blue beacon.

 

Hey y'all. I got a Sabra delivery to Lineage off Fleetwood in Riverside, CA. Anybody know any decent spots to park nearby? Or am I gonna hafta spend the night in Barstow and then get up at O Dark Thirty to make the 3:00am local delivery appointment?

EDIT: Oh, wait, this is down the road from the CR England Drop yard and the 7-11. Nevermind.

Just wondering if anybody's been to the bunge/great lake warehouse on 50 state line rd calumet city il.

 

Careful parking on the street in Riverside/ Colton. All of SoCal really. I got a $125 parking ticket for parking on the street in Riverside. It was not a no parking zone. Google commercial vehicle parking ordinance and the city you are in. Pops right up, I had to pay the fine because I didn't know this.

Read the posted pages in the Windows at the guardshacks, this fine is going up to $200 this month.

 

I parked at Royal Truck Stop in Colton the other night. Worth the $15. Goody's restaurant had some good food. Chorizo and cheese omlette for breakfast. Mm.

@Redtwin there's a new Indian restaurant on I-10 at the Deming Truck Terminal in Deming, NM. Opened up three months ago. I felt you'd wish to know.

Currently sitting at this "Tiger Truck Stop" off exit 87 in middle-of-nowheresville, TX. Had some good enchiladas. Hot load of LL wood flooring from Pomona to Houston. Only reason I won't make it to Houston tomorrow is because I'm running off recap.
