We were stopped and asked to bring our permit book inside at a CO weigh station, and were informed that our VIN on the side of the truck is one digit too short. We have the last 7 digits on there, and they said we need 8.
Did Abilene make a mistake with our truck alone, or are they all messed up?

With Abilene I have been to every state. The only place that I haven't yet been to is Maine.Need4Speed and Kwan23 Thank this.

Yes I am. No company is perfect but comparing to other companies I was; Abilene is much better!

I haven't been in the Eastern time zone since day after Valentine's. Will be at least another 10 days before I get back...maybe.
This not the norm though. Solo drivers are usually kept east of the Mississippi as that's where our main customers are located. -
Got me beat, there are 4 in the CONUS that I haven't been to. There was an opportunity to hop over into NH once but that would have been cheating as it was off the quickest route.Silverdriver Thanks this.

Time to break out the Sharpie until you get back to base. Just today I avoided a trailer rejection at a shipper with about 2 feet of duct tape.

Just aim for the gap in the trees, that's where the road is...or should be!.JohnBoy Thanks this.

Are they having you do it somewhere other than Richmond?. Mine is due first week of April and I'm thinking it would easier to just have drivers do it on the road when they can.
