Pepper spray / mace (designed for humans) is prohibited. Bear / dog spray (properly labelled) is not, but if you have it make sure you declare it.
Why would you have cartons of cigarettes (especially if you don't smoke) unless you intended to sell them?
Redtwin, Silverdriver, JohnBoy and 1 other person Thank this. -
They do. That's how I pay, since Driver Carries No Cash(tm).
Worked out in my favor once. Their credit card validation system was down, so they couldn't accept plastic and I didn't have cash. So they waived the fee that day.Redtwin Thanks this. -
"Never" is a pretty strong word. I hear tell through the grapevine that it does happen VERRRRYY occasionally. Like "once every couple of years you'll get a reload in Canada" type of occasionally.
But yeah, most of the time they'll deadhead you out to pick up something in the US.Silverdriver and JohnBoy Thank this. -
I’ve had one reload out of some small factory 200 miles nort of Edmonton that went to Reno. That was 3 years ago. When in Toronto it’s an automatic “call you from Buffalo”ExtremeUnction and Silverdriver Thank this.

Point taken. To clarify, I was *told* that we don't reload in Canada when I called once to see where I was headed after my last stop and that I should head back to the US. Based on that info and the fact I have never been given a Canadian backhaul, I always head back across the border after my last stop.JohnBoy and Silverdriver Thank this.

Thanks for the web page information. I don,t carry cartons of cigarettes my self; But LOL... Like you said "unless you inteded to sell them".

They ask about weapons, but as I don't carry any, the answer is always a resounding no. I do have a small kitchen knife I carry for food prep, but that's not a weapon, it's a utensil.
JohnBoy and Silverdriver Thank this. -
In an emergency it could be a needed weapon.
-
If they do or might have a reload, they’ll usually tell you before you get there. If nothing is said, then it’s homeward (US) bound.Redtwin and Silverdriver Thank this.
