    Tom Terrific and Mighty Manfred the Wonder Dog, from Captain Kangaroo. Drawn in stick pencil for the animation, Tom wore a funnel for a hat, and shot a cloud of what appeared to be steam, with a a steam whistle to express emotion, usually anger from the point of the funnel.

    I have a friend I call that because he gets pretty radical with his anger sometimes, and also exaggerates too much.

    I would get up at 6AM on Saturdays to watch the toons. The only day I got up with out being woken up.
    Then there was the after school toons to watch. Except for the time when stupid Watergate was on every channel.

    I did the same. Saturday was the only day I woke up early. Just to watch cartoons; and a good movie late at night.

    I have the sense of humor I have thanks primarily to watching the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show every Saturday morning like it was my own personal religion.

    I also have fond memories of the Kroft Super Show, with Dr. Shrinker, Wonderbug, and Electrawoman and Dynagirl. And, of course, Kaptain Kool and the Kongs, who started out as vague KISS clones, but then got all discoed up for subsequent seasons.

    Wow! Is good to see a picture of them. I'm trying to remember the cartoon show of the Moose and the flying squirrel but I just can't recall what it was there names. ???
