I wonder if they'll use the same system they use at Knight. I looked into them for a bit because I was thinking about splitting hometime in PA and AZ so i could visit my mom.

They tied the Zonar system into doing the pre-trip inspection. There are a bunch of round, disc like sensors both inside and outside the truck. You have to take the cab unit with you and scan each of those sensors when you are doing your pre-trip and check off a list of items at each scan point whether it's defective or not.

    KD5AXG Thanks this.

I thump my tires on the regular. That counts as a pre-trip, right?

    KD5AXG and JohnBoy Thank this.

Knight have had that phone text ability for a while now and I always thought it was a good one. When a load gets sent to your QC all the info is also sent to your phone. No need to sit in the truck babysitting the QC waiting for a load especially when truck can't idle and the QC shuts down after an hour.

    Bumper and JohnBoy Thank this.

Depends on if you use an approved tire thumper or not. If you just kick the tires with your toe it doesn't count.

    JohnBoy Thanks this.

I always just ask for a radio check for my pre trip. No need to get out in the weather.

    Friend and JohnBoy Thank this.

LoL! I remember last year that I told them.." The passenger side axel needs to be fixed; is leaking oil into the brake system" 4 hours later they gave me my truck back! And fix the WRONG AXEL! (Driver side):mad::mad::mad:
