I didn’t give it a second thought until someone pointed it out.

At least he used capital letters. If not, that would’ve looked even worse. :laughing-guffaw:

    Simple.

That’s where you take a dump behind your truck, take a leak between your tires, fart, turn on the the cb and holler for a radio check, pop the brakes and roll out. :laughing6:

I bent the hos so many times,to get the loads on time,so today i decided to be a dik,and not drive 10min before the 10 hour break is over,to get the load on time.I was on a best buy load to Dublin GA,it was dropped at Memphis yard. What a mistake that was!Now best buy is mad,and wont take the load in the next 2 days at least, planer is mad, dispatcher too,and its all my fault cause u see,i had to run the load overnight, and not start at 11am.

Meh,don't put you're licence on the line for this company,or any company.

Abilene hasn't been a bad company, but they've shown me on several occasions that they dont care about driver safety.

Safety WILL write you up for using your OD drive time to advance a load now. They tried that with me the other day. I refused to sign because I had actually dropped my trailer to be loaded and BT over to see my mother in the rehab facility on OD and then BT back to p/u the trailer on OD. Our new safety secretary tried to school me as if I was some idiot on what exactly OD is for. And said they would rather we go into violation when delivering. Either way, if something bad happens, you can bet your CDL, it'll be your fault. Not trying to be cynical (despite popular opinion :) ), just realistic. Gone are the days when you could go in violation or use OD and it would be magically fixed.

I personally will not ever again go into violation, use OD for anything other than what it is intended for, or log out of the system to advance a load. If they can't plan it correctly, it's on them. I just use that lovely macro we have and tell them I cannot deliver the load on time due to HOS and their poor planning abilities.

Ah, selective violation of the law. Sounds like another mega already. And I would do exactly what you say you will do in your last paragraph. Don’t expect me to put my ### on the line solely for company benefit.

A Big Amen! To all you said! I had the same experience months ago and had to sign two violations! Now when they send me a load and they plan the delivery thinking that I'm going to stretch it; I just send a Qualcomm message saying "I don't have the hours.. Is going to get there late" !
