I didn't get any info about the tunnel on 64 during my orientation 2 years ago. I use it going both ways and haven't had any probs. I did speak to a driver from another company that said he was OK going one way, but tripped the over height going the other.

We actually got a piece of paper in our handbook that listed the HRBT, the Downtown Tunnel, and the Midtown Tunnel as no zones. Trucks go through all those all day long.Redtwin Thanks this. -
I've tripped two overheight detectors since starting here. The one on 85 headed south into SC and on 95 north in NC. Both times I was heavy loaded and alone as I passed them. Kept going without issue. I just assumed they operated about as well as any other DOT asset in the Carolinas. As for westbound through the HRBT, the sign says 13'6", I'm 13'6" when unloaded, so I've rolled through. Never had issues with it or the DOT that sometimes sits there at the entrance but then again I also haven't set off that OHD either, so... lol.

I started my home time yesterday. Today I took the car drove to Publix, park and tried to look for my "Air Brakes" to pull them; and did not find them. A very strange feeling came over me... "Whats going on here!!!
