I would have put the hose back on and poured a gallon or two of water in it. The shop has told me that I could add water. And the coolant they put in these trucks is a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water.

 

Same, I wouldn't be averse to pissing in it either if I had no water.

 

I called the shop and asked 'em if Peak 50/50 antifreeze for cars would be okay. From a chemistry perspective, I'm pretty sure the answer there is "Yes, it would be fine". But whoever answered the phone told me the coolant had to be red and the bottle had to say "ELC" on it.

And, welp, it ain't my truck. If they wanna be picky about what I put in the reservoir, that's their lookout.

 

My current excitement is sitting at a complete stop on westbound I-64 in West Virginia just west of the Teays Valley TA. Been here for 20 minutes.

Less than a half-mile in front me is a brace of flashing lights and cop cars and emergency personnel. According to the trucker next to me, there's a five-car wreck up there.

Between this and my adventures earlier, this load is gonna be late.

 

Still here. Been an hour and 40 minutes. Apparently the accident involves a fatality, and we might be here for another 2 or 3 more hours.

Kinda puts today in perspective. My problems seem small compared to that.

Anyone having issues with their EZPASS not working? Granted, the only toll road I've been on lately is 895 and they're doing construction on the toll plazas, but mine has not worked on there all weekend. I called safety and they said no issues.

 

I'm having problems with the EZpass and I was about to ask safety also. When coming to a scale All the 3 little lights turn on! I seen some of our drivers have open the plastic of the EZpass and pulled out the two "sensors" and reinstalled them back at the windshield. Going to try that when I get a chance.

 

I did that a long time ago! That plastic piece of crap looked horrible and never could get it to stick to the windshield. I haven't had any issues with the bestpass for the scales working. I just keep getting red lighted and pulled in!
