Ugh! You can sight side back IF and I do mean IF there are no other tractors in there. Docks 2-6 were open when I was there at the end of the day Friday so I had more room than normal. Still not a fun back either way. Load was supposed to be there at 8am and I couldn't even roll out of the yard until 7 am. Then had to go get the load from Sabra, then roll back to the shop to get a missing mud flap put on (thanks to whoever dropped it like that). I got there around 3 and didn't even get to a door until 5. Had a pick up at Halls after that. Cancelled that and put me on some bakery pick up but since I couldn't get there by 6, they cancelled that as well. Finally ended up getting hangers from Macy's back to the yard. What a cluster the whole day was.

    Looks like a blast.

Looks impossible to do a sight side back with a 53’ and a sleeper.

Looking for advice: I'll be going to Portland next month from NC. I've never been west of Cheyenne, I'll be taking I-80 and I-84. I'm sure there are plenty of mountain passes, just want to know which ones to watch out for. Especially the down hills, are they marked clearly? I like to go down hill with the jake doing all the work. Heck I go down south bound Fancy Gap at 45-50 mph.

I have done sight side everytime. It's not easy though. It takes me awhile. JohnBoy does it in one move.

JohnBoy, Lonesome and MACK E-6 Thank this.

Listen, if you’re going to brag about my ability, get it right. One move, 3am, end of my driving shift in a blizzard. That’s how I roll.

MACK E-6, Lonesome, mitrucker and 2 others Thank this.

I have done it blindside once...but thats because i screwed up the sightside setup and the only room to recover was to the blindside. o_O

I'll still take Stay Fresh over Battery Danzler any day of the week though...even with the stench.

    JohnBoy Thanks this.

Is it 24hr drop/hook at Volvo Byhalia?. Probably get there about 4:30 am.

Appologies to Rebelchick and Finfn1372 for holding you guys up. They wanted the tandems slid to the rear, but a leaking air hose prevented the tank from filling enough to release the tandem pins. Duct tape and cable ties did the trick and slowed the leak though.

Of course after all that messing around the cooler was too big to fit through the bay so they had to take it apart. That delay isnt on me though.;)

Lonesome, Silverdriver and Finfn1372 Thank this.
