I have had to deliver there three times so far. The first two times, I was able to get the trailer in the door after engaging the differential and four wheeling up into the dirt past the curb.

The last time, there was snow on the ground, and two trailers bracketing either side of the door I needed to be in. At which point I called dispatch and asked them if if they wanted me drop the trailer there in the Battery Dantzler drop lot, or if they wanted me to bring the trailer back to the yard. Because spending an hour of my life trying to bump a dock under those conditions was not an option.

Yes. I’ve had to do it twice. It does work. I’ve also disconnected the battery cables for 30 minutes and that reset everything too.

You wanna talk about burning up a clutch tellem to put you on the boars head going to Tallahassee.

Finishing up a reset then swapping with a driver,to run his load to Illinois.

Ive been there a few times. I was more concerned about peeling the tandem tires off the rims. Those loads are always heavy.

    Thanks JohnBoy,
Sometimes I just wish trucks didn't have the computer control everything about the truck. One small clitch and there goes your day or days in having the truck fix.

MACK E-6 and JohnBoy Thank this.

A pox on all shippers and receivers that require you to sit inside their facility in order to load/unload you. May they all go out of business, and may the idiots who come up with these policies all develop a painful rash.

Sustanon, MACK E-6, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this.

There is a reason places do this. Somebody has pulled out of the dock while they were not finished or somebody was still in the trailer.

Throw a glad hand lock on the trailer if they cant afford those dock/DOT bar lock things.

Me sitting inside doesnt stop my team driver crawling out of the sleeper , jumping in the drivers seat and driving away.
