Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

It's one thing, if they get you in and out in a timely manner. But if it's a notoriously slow to load and unload place, one such as myself might protest.

 

The Macks we have are slightly shorter so the NE guys got those for slicing and dicing NYC traffic. The sleeper accomodations were pretty small too so the regular OTR guys who stay out much longer liked having more room.

 

They were pretty quick once they safety dance had been completed.

I know from experience that we would like to be with our loved ones on this day; but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way. Be safe!

 

I am fortunate this Father's Day.

My son turned 13 back in October, and I told him that meant he could ride with me in the truck if he wanted. He immediately started telling everybody that he was going to spend the summer riding in the truck with his dad.

And sure enough, last Tuesday, we filled out the paperwork and he's been with me ever since.

So I get to spend Father's Day with my son.

 

That is AWESOME!!!
I hope some time in the future that I can meet you both in person; and if possible we can have breakfast or lunch on me at Richmond... Waffle house.

 

Does any one know if the Abilene "EFS" card is accepted in the "Phillips 66" and "Conoco" truck stops to pay for load weight tickets?

 

Can't ask for much more, I guess.
