Had a delivery last night to Gatorade in Indy, the one on Decatur where you can actually sleep on their yard. Dropped a full trailer, hooked an empty as I always do, and parked.
While hooking up the empty, I noticed that the little flap that covers the pigtail socket when it's not in use, and which holds the pigtail in the socket when it is, was missing. But by that point it was 8:30pm local, and I wasn't in the mood to handle it right then.
Got up this morning and rolled down the road to take care of it. Didn't have a load assignment, and figured I'd get it fixed beforehand. Called DM to let him know I was having some minor repairs done on my trailer, and that maybe they'd wanna hold off on putting a load on me until I was done.
Sat at the Love's down the road for an hour and a half before they got me in. Just as I'm pulling in the bay, I get a load assignment. BBT. Drive to Boar's Head New Castle and pick up a reefer, and then take it to Reno, NV and Redding, CA.
Welp, I already hooked up an empty dry van last night, remember? I sent a qualcomm message about it with the number and everything.
After a hurried consultation, I was directed to take the dry van back to the Gatorade facility where I initially picked it up. Which I did as soon as they fixed the pigtail socket for the trailer I would no longer be hauling.
So if one of you ends up picking up trailer 7184, you're welcome.![]()

Hey, did anyone happen to know Frank who was a trainer at Abilene a couple of years ago?
Silverdriver Thanks this. -
Why in the world are we STILL taking reefer trailers into Gatorade? 1300 pounds overgross. I'm glad I didn't come in here last night. I was in a crappy mood and just said screw it, I don't feel like dealing with it right now. So, now 3 hours of my time has been eaten up. Plus, this is how the trailer was sealed to begin with.
That takes special talent right there.Attached Files:
