Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Eaten there a few times, slept there plenty.

 

Got here to the Flying Hook in Albuquerque at 5 pm local time. It was 697 miles from Barstow to here and I got here with 11 minutes left on my driving clock. I have a total of 2.25 hours left on my 70 and only pick up 5.5 hours after midnight tomorrow night. I sent two emails to Tim today trying to find out what they are planning to do with this load. I got no answer which only means he was real busy. I'm not concerned though, I sent him an email early yesterday explaining my hours situation and he copied and pasted it to the load planners. Knowing how they work, this will be handled tomorrow, and I'll finish my reset. At 12:01 am Thursday I'll have a total of 8.75 hours, at 5:01 am Thursday I'll have 70 hours. I'm going to bed, this has been a very long 7 days.

 

Well, finally got my produce load/no hours on my 70, taken care of. I swapped trailers with a team and took their load going to San Pedro Ca for Friday morning. My reset is up at 5:30am and I will be rolling at 5:45.

 

Let me correct my last post. The load I swapped today going to San Pedro is now going to be swapped in the morning in Gallup NM with another produce load going to London Ky. Right now I'm driving around the country and haven't left the truckstop.

 

They swapped loads the second time because you need to get on my truck. The problem now is I'm going to put in for my hometime on Friday, for the following weekend. Right now I'm so wore out from all this I can't even see straight. I'm thinking maybe some how they can get you to me around Dickson Tn on Saturday sometime. At least then you can get a week with me.
