If I have to trip plan to accommodate the limited hours of dispatch, rather than to maximize driving and time efficiency then that hurts me as a driver AND the company.

 

I'm already at that point. It's 11:20 am and I've slept maybe an hour. I just cannot sleep during the day. Of course, it could partially be due to my argument with my fm this morning.

Those are my every week thing here lately. Ever since I was on FMLA and I feel as if I'm being patted on the head with one hand and stabbed in the back with the other. I get it, you are helping me out. I don't need to be reminded of it every time I talk to you.

 

Update: just got a message. "Working on it" smh. Like, what you been doing since you came in this morning? Is breakfast finally over since lunch has started? Lol

Just about to hit hour 4 here. Not that I am watching the clock or anything.

 

One of the (many) reasons why I prefer to stop for the night 30min to an hour away from my appointment destination vs. spending the night at my appointment destination if I have a morning delivery. I have found that they seem to have a greater sense of urgency when the clock is ticking vs. when it isn't.

 

That's usually how it works. Was told by someone that AKJ took the reins in planning today, however. I imagine the Usual Suspects, being paralyzed by fear, had to run everything through him beforehand thus slowing an already flawed process.

 

If so, expect your QC to beep at 11:44pm with a load assignment requiring you to start your driving day immediately after your 10 is up. AKJ don't play around.
