One would think that the situation could have been remedied by just transferring him to a different FM in another location? He currently works for Wright Transportation.

Dispatching out of West Memphis would be a lot closer to TX. I know there are drivers based in W. Memphis but who knows how they are dispatched.Silverdriver Thanks this.

Yes, the nozzles have a magnetic shutoff valve that is built in most DEF tank necks to keep people from filling their fuel tanks with the stuff. So if you want to fill a couple jugs to carry with you as a safety you need a magnet so the nozzle allows flow.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.

As I was pulling into Sabra today, another Abilene driver was bobtailing out. He rolled down his window.
"Genpak?" he asked.
"Yep," I replied.
"Good luck finding any place to drop it," he said. "I think I took the last empty space."
"Okay, thanks for the heads up. No empty trailers back there, I guess?" I mean, he was bobtail, so I figure there must not have been any.
"Oh yeah, they've got empties back there. I just leave 'em for the local guys. Let THEM do all the work hauling those things back and forth!"
Sure enough, when I got back to where we drop the dry vans, there were several empty trailers, but no empty spaces available to drop my loaded trailer.
But y'know...
There would have been an empty space available if he'd hooked an empty trailer instead of leaving it for "the local guys".
So not only was he leaving work for "the local guys", he also made my job harder, because now I gotta figure out where to drop this trailer since there aren't any empty spots.
I left with an empty.Barn Door Bill, runningman0661 and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.
