I’m sure there are, but as a whole these are two completely different worlds.

 

Its that time when you get to a shipper,and they tell you your picking up a trailer that begins with 76.

 

Anybody know if that us express terminal in Ellenwood,Ga has laundry facilities.

No, all drivers need to be paid better.

 

Should?. I dont know about that but due to the nature of OTR, it would be far too easy for unscrupulous drivers to milk the clock if they were paid hourly. I can just imagine all the claims of construction traffic etc for why they took 10hrs to drive 300 miles.

 

I can show you local guys that do that as well. There are quite a few that do it at Abilene. Seen it way too many times when I was running local last year. Said something about it too and you know what? Not a thing done about it.

 

Same thing at my company. We have some clock milkers. Strangely enough, I’m a “local” driver and my pay is cpm based.

 

I guess I'm a bad apple, because if I was paid by the hour, I'd milk the heck out of it.
