That dirt road behind the bobtail parking area has always been a good option, spent many a 10 there. A lot quieter too without trailers tandems being slammed right in front of you.

Also, in my exhaustion I neglected to mention they're using the back gate. May want to come around that side to see if its open before trying to go in the normal way. Sure, there's plenty of room to turn around... if you're the only one who came in that way unawares.

So folks not realize how high they are dropping trailers, are they just that stupid, or do they just not frigging care. Now I have the pleasure of cranking down a trailer loaded with 44k of Gatorade.

This used to drive me off a cliff. Still does, but I don't think it's entirely ignorance/laziness anymore. I don't know what you drive but there seems to be a considerable height difference between my KW and the Volvos. Specifically, bags inflated, I sit a couple inches lower than the Volvos. Saw that when I dropped a heavy van for a truck stop swap with a Volvo driver. I ran the legs out to 2" above the ground, dumped the bags, and slid out. Mr. Volvo backed up to it and started fussing I left it too low, wanted me to lift it. Couple cranks on the gear in low and I had it high enough for the guy, no problem, but it got me thinking.

If it's any consolation, I had the same problem at Gatorade in Wytheville today but the legs on this one were definitely run too far out. Like the deck was obviously higher than the trailer next to it. And it was pouring while I cranked it down. :(

sometimes the way the ground is below it when they drop it. Then where it is dropped it might be higher
