Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Not a bad day. Set a personal 11-hr record of 762 miles, TA Cheyenne to Iowa 80 Wolcott, and only one four-wheeled pyscho got my blood up for a few seconds.

Just gonna grin when tomorrow makes up for it and goes to hell.

 

That’s a good day... and yes, tomorrow will certainly offset it for sure!!!

 

I'm getting better, though!

 

They're late when we get 'em, too. My last run to Berea, the load assignment said it was due at 4:00pm. I got there at 7:00pm, and that was the absolute soonest I could get it there. And then I found out it was REALLY due at noon.

 

On an unrelated note, the Cusseta Travel Plaza off I-85 in Cusseta, AL has free showers. And they're pretty decent.

 

Sitting here at the TA in Columbia SC watching the free truck stop entertainment. Drivers are so dang funny. I wouldn't even be here but....I was ordered to swap with another driver who will continue my load for another 180 miles and I will have his (OMG heavy!) load going back to the yard. Makes no sense to me, unless he needed to get home or something.

 

Heading to Rock Hill for the morning,than hometime.
