Doesn't help when one of those drivers cant slide the tandems because the trailer airline has a leak and cant build enough pressure.

 

Well, every truck has its little bugs that need worked out. I just spent about 15mins trying to get my driver side window to roll up. Finally got it. I had to turn the truck off, leave it off for about 5mins, then restart. It's like my power windows lost power. No lights came on, on the door or anything. Weird...but I bet you one thing. I bet I'm really careful about rolling it down again.

 

Fresh Air ... it is so over rated...

I hit my head 5 time's already with the extended cubi hole! It will take time to adjust into the new wheels.

 

Hahaha! My husband was always hitting his head on that whenever he rode with me. At least 2x a day. I think I've hit it maybe 3x in 5.5 years. It hurts like a mother, for sure!!!!

There seems to be a great deal of information and knowledge in this thread, a very good friend of mine has recently obtained her CDL and is having a difficult time finding a decent company, she is very naive, and believes almost anything anyone tells her (me being skeptical tells her this is a bad thing to believe everything). She currently works at Mesilla Valley Transportation and is constantly complaining about their dispatchers, I am not trying to hijack this thread, and I apologize if I am in the wrong thread asking for directions, but shes based in Houston, TX, she has one year of OTR experience, I was wondering if you folks could be kind enough to point me in the right direction of decent companies for her. Thank you and again I apologize if I am in the wrong thread.

 

I started with Prime in 08. Stayed there for 3 years. They have a very good training, beginners program because they have alot of fresh drivers. Plus they have some of the best equipment on the road. I'd highly recommend telling your friend, to at least check out their website. They hire from any location also.

 

Thank you 5speed, she was looking at DART, but she's not very computer savvy, so I told her I would help by finding a good board and asking there. I told her not to jump to any company before I got some opinions from guys that have "been there, done that"

 

Not every company is a good fit for every person. What works for some doesn’t for others.
Where does she like to run, how much hometine, these questions must also fit into the equation.
