I’m quite sure I would have handled it quite differently. Sort of like last Thursday at the mothership. When it was all said and done, Rusty was on my page.

She should call and speak to one of the recruiters here. They would be able to tell her if they would be able to meet her home time needs, or if they would consider hiring from that area. As long as her record is clean, getting hired shouldn't be an issue.

She would like a day or 2 a week at home, so however that translates, I don't begin to know how you folk's schedule works, lol, I have heard there are company's that do 2 weeks out for 3 or 4 days at home, but that's rare from what I have seen, her home base is here in Houston, TX and she has a 45lb Malinois that rides with her, so it has to be someone that is pet friendly, but I know eventually her end goal is to run local. Perhaps El Presidente Johnboy would be good to chime in here too, as I need to give props before I hijack his thread with her issues. lol

You get 1 day off for every 6 days out. Pet friendly with a $500 deposit (at least that's what it was and not sure if refunded or not). Not sure if 45 lbs is a deal breaker as I do not have a pet on my truck, but so do see a lot of people with pits, and mixed breeds that are more than that weight.

Perhaps Chinatown, the guru of all things trucking will see this and respond. George calling Chinatown. Come in Chinatown! A young lady from Houston seeks exile from MVT......can you save this young maiden??? She has a 45 lb dog and wishes to have a day or two at the house per week. (Channeling my inner Mork)

Hi Abileenees. Perdues reefer madness got the better of me over the last six weeks and I had to say goodbye which I did last Friday. We have had three guys die suddenly in the last two months and witnessing my own BP skyrocket in the last two weeks, I decided NOT to be the fourth. Constant night driving coupled with my inability to sleep or sleep well during the day signaled my end. Gonna miss the pay, but can't spend it from the hospital or the grave. Still, not ready to hangem up though. I will be looking for a dry van gig that should have a more agreeable schedule with my circadium rhythm and parasympathetic system. Best wishes you guys. Still love your thread!
