I’ll be in Richmond about noon today. My final trainee until spring is waiting for me at the motel. I just hope this one listens and takes notes a little better then my last one. I don’t mind training, but when I have to go over the same things when one goes solo because they rather sleep 15 hours a day or are constantly texting and on the phone instead of learning, well, it just gets old.

Might see you there @JohnBoy. Will be back and forth all day.

If anyone gets 1628, be sure to go to a Petro to have it aligned and tires balanced ASAP. I never could get it done out on the road and our shop can’t do it. Also, a reoccurring check engine light for the EGR system will have you putting tape over it as our shop never fixes that either (2 years worth of write ups). And the cabinet above the doesn’t stay shut (had it fixed 3x).

Nope. A much older one. 1465 a Mack. Because I’m local now. Not my choice. But, it has to be because of my mother. I was hoping to just be local for 4-6 months, but I think my OTR days are done.

Had to borrow 1465 a few weeks ago while mine was in the shop. Solid ride but that fridge will kill the batteries if you aren't careful. I don't think it seals properly so it just stays kicked on. Told Bill but...

If you find that 1465 keeps trying to head north on I95 constantly its because that truck used to be assigned to a NE regional driver and its just trying to get back to its "home" territory.

That fridge is horrible for sure! The door is off the hinge or something. Doubt I will use it anyway since I will be home everyday. Didn’t think to check if there is a switch to cut it off or if it’s even on. I will say it was cleaner than I thought it would be. But needs to be deep cleaned. I hope to not ever have to sleep in there. Feels like a coffin after being in the Volvo!

Wasn’t that guy called the NE king? I believe he got one of the new Volvo’s.

    Redtwin Thanks this.
