DD, I spoke with Sally about you on Wed. When you're ready to come on board be patient. She got a call when I was in there from another applicant and told him to be patient as he was on hold. We are short trainers so there is a slight hold list. As soon as I mentioned a description of you she called you out by name and said she spoke with you the day before. Even though when I call in I give my truck number to make it easier to look up everyone there knows us by name, or seriously try's as Don T does his best but still forgets...lol.

No I won't train as I like my solitude plus medically retired E-6 so my "training" methods kind of don't work well out here hahaha. So my contribution is being on the mentor list.

Just met George here in West Memphis. He's waiting to repower another driver so I stopped to shoot the bull with him a while. It was nice, I hadn't seen him since before that fateful day when he was shown the door. But, like I told him and he has said, one door closes another opens. Now it's time to get to my first drop for the morning. I have two drops tomorrow then the next three starting at 2am Monday in and around San Antonio. I will be done with this load about 9am Monday.

Thank you very much for taking the time out of your day to make that call and speak to Sally. I dont start school until the first of Sept and finish the end of October. Its like she said that would be good as I would get the very important winter training out of the way. I am working hard to get my old body back in shape. After being retired medically/disabled for 9 yrs and sitting on my southbound side along with the injury I received in surgery that caused my forced disability I have lost a lot of strength and stamina. Couple that with a morphine pump imbedded in my side, I am climbing a steep mountain. But I am sucking it up and have had the pump reduced 30% in the last month over two visits with another one in a week or so. I have to be able to stop the flow of morphine completely and am working to that end. I have always hated the fact that I had to take the stuff. I hate to take an aspirin let alone have morphine being pumped into my spinal canal and a large bottle of percocets to help take the edge off. Surprisingly I seem to have healed quite a bit and there is only the slight withdrawal from the morphine for about 4 days after the adjustment. I will be completely off that narcotic by graduation from driving school. I am a big guy and have concern about sleeper berths...lol Being 6'6" and 375 (I have already lost 20 lbs in 14 days) headed down to at least 345 it will be tough to climb up into the upper berth. But I go to the gym 7 days a week to lift, walk on the treadmill..I am up to half a mile a day (my goal is 3 miles a day) and to work on my abdomen. Combine that with a juice fast for quick efficient and healthy weight loss I am doing what I need to do to be able to come to work in this profession. Its not easy but neither was Parris Island. Thank you again

Thank you my brother and Semper Fi to you as well. I can be found on Facebook and several of the Marine groups on that site...YEMX, Parris Island Alumni, Semper Fi club....if have a facebook and want to join as long as you can prove your service you are welcome. You would be surprised at how many posers try to bluff their way in as if they could fool us...lol Asked one one time where he went to boot camp and he said Fort Bragg...lol if you look for me on Facebook my name is Steve Flynn.
