Sir, are you either a Moderator or a Driver for Abilene? (I ask with respect)

If you are talking about the “get your willy caught in your zipper” comment then you are not familiar with the definition of “perversion”... if he had said “hit your thumb with a hammer” it would not be any different. A simple statement with which to convey a message of displeasure.

Now, I guess if one “gets off” on the concept of catching one’s ##### in one’s zipper then yes, one could possibly use the word perversion but even that might be borderline... Persinally, I like my back to be scratched... oh no, please don’t express that in a public forum.

And please don’t feel the need to “infer” on behalf of @JohnBoy, trust me, if he has an issue with any statement made here or any person in this thread, he will certainly speak up.

As to Mods, @MACK E-6 keeps a good eye out for us here in this thread... if someone from the outside start stirring our pot, then he is more than willing to intervene. And should one of the normal drivers get out of hand, then I am equally sure that he will touch base with us as well.

As to Non CDL Executives from Abilene... they are more than welcome to view our public thread... probably a very good way to get Driver Feedback... but when they start making decisions based on “catching one’s Willy in one’s zipper”.... well, I’ll inform them what they can do with My Thumb (I don’t wish to offend) as they obviously have too much time on their hands.

I think your one statement summed it up right:
“I don’t speak for anyone...” ... yup, agreed.

Yes, you can speak for most of the guys here... and certainly 100% of the ladies too... :)

    Ok that was
That , Sir, was hilarious .

I direct talent to this thread , as it’s an effective real time snapshot of what life on the road is really like . I’m not offended , but a new generation of women are wary of this type of humor . It presents a negative image of what a male trainer experience may be like , images of truck stop movies and inappropriate comments , accosting, etc. As you know , female trainers are in short supply . It’s difficult enough to interest young women anymore in this industry as it is . We’re all on the same team .

Even from your profile picture, you don’t look familiar to me. Trish is the only recruiter I know of, and I’m in and out of the yard all the time. But, I’m too busy doing my job to fool with all the muckity mucks. Maybe JB is familiar with you. I do understand that “children” these days are offended by so many things that us older (and wiser) folks find funny, but...it’s not only younger women who fail to find interest in trucking AND not only due to the images you have referred to. It’s the lack of respect from the motoring public, shippers, receivers, and even companies themselves. Not that our company is like that, of course. I still stand by my statement that if you are so easily offended, you don’t need to be a driver. This life is definitely not for everyone.

A truly sad day when the mere mention of the Male Member causes young ladies to fear being raped at a Truck Stop. I guess I always give ladies the benefit of the doubt that they were no longer the weaker sex and needed to be protected from the world but equals and strong confident people that won’t shrink back into their safe space by the mere mention of a word.

But maybe those are just the ladies that I am blessed to be around...

And please feel free to direct any one here that you wish... I too believe it to be a very good group and the only reason I’m at Abilene.

But please, if these young ladies are so offended, just let them speak up... in today’s #metoo age, they really need to practice expressing their own thoughts and feelings about subjects... for if we protect them from such things, they will never learn to speak up on truly important things like being assaulted on the job by their boss, etc.
