I’ve worked at a couple companies that had a driver liaison or advocate, whatever you want to call it but that was their job was to be a go between drivers and operations/management.

In all my years in this business and all the companies that I have driven for, Johnson Motor Lines out of Charlotte, NC had the very best dispatchers that I have ever dealt with, they were behind a counter and drivers were not allowed back of the counter. But the manager of the road drivers had an office with the door always open. Henry Jenkins was his name and I will never forget Henry, he was one super human being. A driver had a problem, Henry took care of it, no "if" or "but", the problem was addressed.
I guess I am very bias of my opinion because of all the trucking companies that I worked for, Johnson was TOPS . When Johnson closed the doors in 1980, tears rolled down my cheeks. We were union but we were treated like family.MidWest_MacDaddy, JohnBoy, ExtremeUnction and 1 other person Thank this. -
