Just heard... Mr. Higgins took a turn last night and passed away today...

 

Just heard this also. Very sad. I knew he was sicker than the “status quo” was saying. He was truly one of the good ones.

 

He was real great person to work with.

 

Well ####. That sucks.

He was a good dude. I liked him a lot. Easy to work with, did his job well, never had a problem with him.

Never could get a straight answer from anybody about what he had, though. "He's sick, but he's getting better" was all I heard. I asked Chris the other day if it was cancer, and he said it wasn't. But man, what else is gonna put you in the hospital for months and then you kick off anyways?

Anyhow, Godspeed Mr. Higgins. Thoughts and vibes to his family.

Sorry to hear about Mr.Higgins,we never saw eye to eye,but I wouldn't wish that on anybody.

Just to show you how stupid our government really thinks we are one of the selling points of this alleged tax break was they doubled the standard deduction to 12000 dollars. Well guess what, they did away with the personal exemption. Last year if you didn't itemize your deductions then you could claim standard deduction plus personal exemption which amounted to roughly 11500 dollars. So they didn't give us nothing.

Now instead of roughly 27000 dollars in itemized deductions all i get is a 12000 standard deduction. Thats right. I paid tax on around 15000 dollars more this year.

 

When I first started he really surprised me once when I walked up to the window and he knew my name and truck number. I never dreaded weekends as I knew I could call in on the phone and if he was the one who answered, I was rolling within minutes.

No chance of trying that during the week when the office was "fully" staffed.
