Training? More like teaming from the jump. They did that to me and Shawn on our 2nd load.

I drove almost my full 11hrs my first day on the trainer's truck. It isn't a structured setup like you hear about with a few other companies (super solo etc) or I should say, not all trainers follow company guidelines if they exist.

It was rough, but I didn't complain or ask to switch trainers. Doing so would only delay me getting my own truck and would have possibly put me in a bad light with the company on my very first week of employment.

The only time to complain when in training is if you are in an unsafe environment. I don’t think any of our trainers are bad people, but I had 2 at my first company. One male, who decided he wanted to have sex when I didn’t (and made it expressly known from the get go)-before even getting on his truck, and a female who really wasn’t any kind of trainer. My trainer at my second company was awesome. And the “trainers” I’ve had here are pretty good too! Always something to learn!

You should see what’s coming out of the new driver gene pool. If breathing wasn’t a requirement, they’d be dead.

I was just noticing that myself.
And seeing several trees budding too.
