Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Ok folks, I must be missing something... if I am, I ask that you please educate me as to what I am missing in the following photo:



I’m parked at this Petro for my Ten... I’m driving around looking for a spot to occupy for my nap, I noticed that once again it seems, to me anyway, that the majority of these parking spots would require a blind side back to get into them.

(Red are Blind Side Backs and Green are Sight Side)

Am I seeing this correctly and if I am, WHY would anyone design a Truck Stop Parking Lot to almost require every Driver to make a Blind Side Back, especially if they are looking to shut down after a long day of driving.

Am I missing something so obvious that I will be personally embarrassed by my total lack of observing, and totally missing, something so obvious?

I just can’t make my mind make any logical sense as to why anyone would intentionally design and lay out a huge parking lot for Trucks in such a manner.

Please help ease my cognitive dissonance!!!

 

Actually, I'm quite stunning in a dress and high heels. I would post pics but the unwanted advances and sexual innuendo tends to get tiresome.

 

Can't help you there...all automatic fleet at Abilene.

 

The parking lot was not designed by a truck driver. It looks better on paper to say your location has 300 spaces rather than 280.

 

Just park anywhere then get out of the truck and draw one white or yellow line on each side of your truck!
