Well, it’s not like there isn’t at least 5 Truck Stops and an Abilene Yard to choose from... but thanks for the heads up and OUCH, $360? That’s just a bit steep for a simple parking violation... I guess they know they have their fair share of Truckers to pick on here.

I'm making it one of my favorite songs... I think it will go great for when I have to call "C.H. Robinson" and repeat the same information over, over, over and over again to solve there load number information. Two days ago it took almost 3 hours and 8 call's to solve the mystery.

 

Ticket. Apparently in VA they can't write parking tickets for Commercial vehicles so it was written as failing to obey highway sign (there was a no parking sign somewhere there, I didn't see it). That ticket is basically a moving violation which carries three points. It cost me $200 for a lawyer to get it reduced to defective equipment which was no points but still $160 in fines and court costs etc.

 

The guys at the Gatorade shack told me there is a Wythe county deputy that hangs out on that road all the time looking to write tickets. I am guessing it was the same guy that got me. I pleaded with him saying I wasn't fully parked (I was in driver's seat, seatbelt on, with truck running and flashers going) only pulled over to see what the message was on my QC but he wasn't interested in anything I had to say, I was getting that ticket regardless.

 

Yep. Exact same thing. He pulled over to write down pick up number.

 

I’m trying to figure out the location. (I’m lost)...So if I come out of Gatorade or going to it from the Wytheville terminal and I park for some reason on the side of the road there is idiot sheriff hunting like a vulture on truck drivers around that area?
