Welp the Phoenix load fell through,got the runner up prize,a load to Indy.

Yeah my thoughts exactly.

 

Dropped my empty reefer in Stockton drop yard last night and bobtailed to the flying J up the road for the night figuring Id prob get a load assignment in the morning and hooking a dry van. QCOMM beeped 530 this morning and another dead head move to walmart behind Colton yard to drop the reefer I had. 1,175 mile deadhead total, that is the longest deadhead I have ever done in my 6 year driving experience. Deadheaded me from Tacoma area WA to Colton. Got a HP load going to Walmart in Plainview Tx now. Didn't have the hours to drive 200 miles so they said come back in the morning when I do have enough hours. I imagine they getting me WA from there for my home time coming up.

 

Why on earth do some drivers park with their bumper AT the curb when everyone else bumps the curb with their tires... or close anyway... in this lot there are two trucks on opposing sides of a row... with their nose stuck out some 5-6 feet past the other trucks in the line... leaving their whole front exposed to possible impacts and taking up space in the lot for other trucks to maneuver.

 

Well today I get to drop this load at the Richmond terminal and pick up one that is going to Indiana.

So, I’m thinking I’m out in the middle of nowhere ... (Rural Oregon) ... hardly anyone around let alone another Abilene Driver... pull in to a Rest Area for a 30 minute break... and...
