Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Got a sheriff's escort to deliver these relief supplies in LA. Unfortunately they couldn't find a loading dock so they unloaded with pallet jack and forklift on the ground....but they at least had two forklifts and a bunch of ppl to help unload.

 

Deadheaded me to Belk in Jackson Ms from La and dropped that on WM yard and bbt to forrest city BH to pick up going to new castle Indiana. Ive been to WM yard so much lately Ive learned my way around the construction mess, lol!

 

I don’t know what it is about beckley but when it’s close to parked full and I stop for a lunch or dinner, I have one HECK of a time swinging in at the best angle as to not be too dang close to the truck on the left or right... it’s either tight on the tail end or I have to get too close to the other cabs to get into the space... ugh

On a more positive note, made it into and, more importantly, out of Chicago... had to pick up a chair... that’s right A CHAIR from some storage/moving place to deliver to RVA... and wow was this place TIGHT for a Sleeper with 54” trailer... and when I left I was out of position to leave the way I arrived... so I left but then a turn and a half later discovered I could not maneuver an intersection, so ended up backing it up a block to get out... double ugh.

And you know it’s city traffic and stop n go interstate when you don’t trip into “driving” for ten miles... lol

 

No two ways about it, Chicago sucks!!!!!

 

What’s the change in the training policy?

 

Drop my load at the West Memphis terminal and was chosen by the computer for a random drug test AGAIN!
That computer must love my name!

Did the test and the computer also ask for an alcohol test! I look at the guy and said really!!!
First time ever!
What will the computer think of next!?
Maybe a DNA sample to find out if I'm a clone?

 

Dropped my BH in New Castle Indiana and got another BH from New Castle to Jacksonville for Sunday morning.

 

At least they didn’t try to do a hair follicle test on you 2x in 4 months. Argued and got the 2nd one changed to a wizz quiz and then had a 3rd “random” 2 months after that.

 

My curiosity is peaked as well.
