    So we will no longer be able to maneuver the truck at all during breaks?

    Say, moving the truck to get it washed on the yard will now start our clocks kind of thing? I guess we could use PC to get to the Wash Bay... lol

    If true, that is going to have a major impact on how they plan frieght if we can’t even maneuver the truck at the customer location without tripping the clocks... or restarting our breaks.

    So now we know the real reason why they are talking more about Preplans... no more bumping the dock and waiting and waiting for them to get around to giving us a load if our clocks have started 5 hours ago.... but we also lose out when we have to start our clocks and then wait to be unloaded.

    I see pros and cons...

    This could get interesting.

    I think even now using pc time,the clock runs down.

    So say your sitting at a dock for 5 hours,once you move you'll still have to take another 10hr break.

    The regs say anything over 5 mph.
    That’s why you see people creeping around the truck stop.

    Wow such bull. What has become of the industry. So glad I gave up my CDL and now drive my desk and get to tell drivers what to do and where to go.

    As long as the five-minute timer still works, I'll be fine.

    If the five-minute timer doesn't work, that'll be annoying.

    I have taken a 30 min break creeping in stop and go Interstate construction traffic with that 5 minute timer. :D

    Yo tambien. Soon as I come to a complete stop on the interstate, I start playing with the Qualcomm and milking that 5-minute timer.

    One of these days I am going to learn that "Load assignment, pick up from the yard" does not mean "load is actually on the yard when your 10 is up".

    <settles in for a three hour wait>
