Moving Day... from a 18xx to 19xxx

At least this one is a planned move... this is my 4th move within a year... hoping to stay in this one for two years... lol ... this one is a year newer and 150k fewer miles... so I hope this is a good move for the foreseeable future.... and moving in October is much better than the Heat of Summer or Freezing of Winter.

Guess I don’t like change and
I've had a bit too much lately...

Somehow I keep accumulating “stuff” in my truck making each move more of a hassle than the last.

 

Well, now we all really wanna know what was said... lol

 

In 2016 i was in 12 different trucks. Sucked big white eggs!

 

Went over to hill phoenix on old stage to get my load to OKC at 430 this morning after my reset was up and discovered the mailbox wasn't out out front where it was last time I was there. I actually thought somebody stole it with papers and all because it was near halloween and ppl do that sort of thing. Nope, on the side of the place now, lol! I did my trailer inspection and a light was out, no biggie I figured Id stop at Love's at Wytheville. They pulled me right in when I got there but it was taking longer than it should for approval to come through. So I sit there patiently waiting reading articles of interest to me on my iPhone. This owner operator walks in and mechanic says he will get to him after fixing me and the driver in the other bay. He turns around and starts harassing me and asking me what Im doing there because our yard is down the road and I told him we don't have a shop there. Then he starts asking me where I got the trailer and how long I knew the light was out then he starts giving me this long lecture on pre and post trips as if I didn't know anything....I always do my inspections and that is how I knew the light was out. Then he asks why didn't I get it fixed there and I told him our shop was closed and breakdown would have told me to go to Love's anyway. Then he grabbed my phone out of my hands and proceeded to show me how to take pictures and send them to try and speed up approval and I told him we don't do that, no where to send them anyway. Just gotta wait for approval to come through. I took my phone back then he said it was going to be my fault if he was late.....then he finally leaves. Scrawny little huck finn looking dude with his straw hat, flannel shirt and suspenders. Gotta love owner ops with a God complex that think they know it all and are better than company drivers. He was dead set on kicking me out of the shop.....mechanic finally told him we have a contract with them. Acted like I was in his spot.

 

Yeah he did.....I didn't feel like getting arrested today and losing my job.

 

I guess I could have pulled the PTSD card/excuse if I had done anything...

 

Dang! Y’all have all the fun! Grab my phone? I don’t flipping think so! Tell me what my business is? I don’t flipping think so! Dude would’ve got a swift kick in the nuts real quick. Just ask the guy at bldg 3 at givens. I went off on a pos container hauler who was harassing me. Called me every rude name he could think of. Then really set me off with the C one. Yeah, don’t call me that unless you want this chick right up in your face-which is what he got. I might be old and fat, but I’m still country!
