Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Well, got a fairly light load... both weight and miles... only 300 miles so 5 hours... left two hours early so I could get here in plenty of time to get a 10 in prior to bumping a dock... but nope, several issues along I-81 North and I pulled in right before 10m... still enough time for a 10 but dang, good thing I had plenty of time for this casual Sunday drive.

 

Anyone in a newer Volvo know if there is a brightness adjustment for the radio display? This one is so dim it’s hard to see during the day... quite the distraction to even try to adjust change while driving... safety first of course... I’ve gone through the menu options and hit every other button, but not finding an option.

 

Made a delivery on a construction site to a high school being built in NC,went alot better than I thought it would.Deadheaded back to Chester to drop empty.

Had hometime for the weekend,but they put me on a Orange,Tx load,couldn't pass it up don't get to go that way much,it was probably a makeup for that screwjob all last week lol.

 

Oh yeah the the whole yard is about paved,looks sharp,now if we could only get Knight to pass a little of that money around.

 

They sent me up to Connecticut yesterday... it’s been a while since I’ve been up this way. DC was a pain to get around but the rest of the way, especially NYC, was pretty smooth... again, glad I had plenty of time on my clocks as this trip consumed all but an hour of both.

Dropping line equipment to a Bimbo Bakery here and oh does this place smell good!!!

 

I remember that place! Gained 10 pounds just rolling in for delivery a few years ago.

 

That would be too much like right. Guess the local bonuses paved the parking lot. SMDH

 

I’m hoping the smells are low carb and keto friendly.

 

Back out after five days off. Back to Costco and they rejected the two pallets FedEx restacked because they weren't stacked like HP had the others and they had left some printers loose sitting on top of pallets. Back to FedEx in Fife as I guess they are buying the two pallets or however this is working out for OS&D.

 

Hmmmm..........supposedly bought them for AMX trls.
