That be me. It's parked right in the shadows of the FHP and DOT offices. Can't be anymore secure then that. When you see it on the southbound side I just got home, on the northbound side means I am empty. Right now it's empty and will be there until I leave. That trailer is acutally ours. Any company that has BH for an account must have the trailers decaled like that.

I went with the "Sleep Dog". The "Big Rig" has coils and I want to get away from that. Too bad I can't have it before I leave though.

Just a quick observation about the new H.O.S rules that went into effect this week. Exactly what are we suppose to do with this mandated half hour break? I mean really, I was talking to my buddy and we both agreed it's not quite long enough of a break to get a round of golf in, go deep sea fishing, go for a ride on the hog, or even time enough to read the first half of war and peace. After dealing with it this past week I've come up with the perfect need for this half hour, parking the truck in a rest area or truck stop, going off duty, then go inside with my iphone for a half hour reading the news and take a morning deuce. That should really help the safety issue. Hopefully by the time these rocket scientist come up with the next round of changes I'll be reading about them on TTR as I get ready to start another day of retirement. Remember, this is just my observation.

I probably shouldn't say this, but I've been tying that break in with one of my longer loading or unloading customers. There is no way in hell I'm going to my lengthen my day by taking a useless half hour break at some random point along the highway that I don't need. All it is is another PITA regulation that really does nothing to improve safety on the highway.

I do the same thing. Unless I am physically unloading the tanker I ask the loader/unloader if he needs me to do anything. If he says no I swivel my seat around, prop my feet on the bunk and log sleeper berth.

I have been using the Big Rig since November and it is great. I use it in a 2013 Volvo VN 780

I think after 33 years of sleeping on every imaginable thing that is called a mattress and going through what I have been the last few days I think I deserve something a little better than a stock, cheap, made in China imitation spring loaded mattress. I go through this about once a year and everytime I do I vow to get a good mattress, this time I did. This ain't fun, last year I went through this I drove from Pittston Pa to California and back with a heating pad on my back for 2 weeks straight.
