Sitting at my delivery in Henderson. I got my reload info as I was pulling into the receiver. I have to deadhead down to Colton for a drop and hook that's loaded and waiting. It delivers Monday morning in Pageland SC. Right now I'm going to take a nap.

We stopped at the pilot in Walcott for fuel, although the truck had only used half a tank, and DEF which was down to a quarter. Went inside and it came up invalid truck. Seems somebody forgot to add this one to the fleet or something. Had to fuel using my old truck number then Don called back to say they had fixed it. We'll see next fuel stop.

What a night. It took us 6 hours to go from Henderson to Colton. I can't believe people out here spend half their life sitting in traffic Monday through Friday just to be able to sit in traffic Friday night and Sunday night. Some quality of life these people live.

Got our trailer at 1am, scaled it out then made it to Hesperia, fighting traffic at that god awful hour even more as they rebuild and widen the Cajon pass. Just finishing breakfast here at the Outpost Cafe. I let dispatch know yesterday while waiting to get empty this was too tight of a schedule, then I called back last night to let them know Monday at 8am was not going to happen. Now they are setting up a swap with a true team, not a super solo like this truck is right now. Be safe all, enjoy the weekend.

Tried to call Big Brin on Friday. Ring, ring, ring, no answer. Left him a voicemail anyway. Praying for the big lug.

I tried twice the last week, along with a few text messages, no luck. I truly believe, you can pray for someone all you want, if they aren't ready yet you are wasting your time. I too am hoping and praying he hear's some kinda of message from someone and reaches out.

Having breakfast here in amarillo, I'm back to eating and sleeping during some god awful hours. I will make my delivery on time, I hope, all I know is its time for the house and the woman in it for my well being. Yesterday ended our pay period, the kid on the truck with me went from making 8.75 an hour at a part time job in food lion to a pay check of a little over $1900 dollars, me? A lot more, and it ain't worth it. I'm tired, wore out and all I have now is tunnel vision in the name of Lesli, the house and those 4 dogs that mean so much to me. I've finally figured it out, Abilene has the freight, so much so that I can't handle it all, I just need to pace myself better in order to not feel like this every 2-3 weeks.
