Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Just a typical morning in NYC metro area.

 

Turns out my load was a construction load. Amazon I delivered to in Spokane was still being built and finished. Easy to get to on opposite side of 90 from the petro off exit 272. Now checked in for my pm service and steer alignment at volvo. They asked if I had a check sheet from Abilene on what they want done but told them no check sheet and just do the normal stuff.

 

The West Memphis terminal entrance next to the railroad tracks is closed. If you’re coming into the terminal use the regular back road; you will see at the back road about 3 signs that say road closed just zigzag you’re way in. It’s like an obstacle course!
The amount of trucks that were using the road next to the tracks during the road reconstruction to turn around did there damage to the road and now the city is making repairs.

 

I’ve been seeing lots of new tractors lately. Wonder how they got those.

I’m also wondering if we’ll run across stranded former drivers at truck stops in the near future.

 

It doesn’t really sound that way to me. I saw Celadon trucks heading south down 57 yesterday.


I just read on another thread that drivers may have been notified this morning.


I just remembered that I saw a Celadon/Jaguar truck heading east on 70 yesterday. That poor guy is screwed.

 

RG transport the private fleet for red gold tomatoes just offered their drivers ride back to Indy. RG is based just northeast of Indy.

 

I have to go through Indy twice next week. Wonder if I’ll have a passenger at some point.

 

Yeah, they are based in Elwood. Good for them for stepping up.
