For our cruise? Absolutely. For our training it's a 6 month deployment.

Boy you got that right Jason. A buddy of mine I use to work with at Calex keeps telling me that with the extra money I'm making I should go talk to someone in a horizontal position.

Training students is definately not easy. Especially if the company has you running as a team, I did it for a short while. I decided to get off the road after that. In the oil and gas industry driving a water bottle now, home everyday, paid by the hour whether Im moving or stuck sitting at a well site. Still work 60-70 hrs a week. Ungoverned trucks too. Still collect my VA compensation as well.

We train a lot of drivers that use to drive and have been off the road a while, we call it knocking the rust off, after a week then we run as a team and the trainer concentrates on policies and procedures. Tim, who is the trainers driver manager is very much in the loop waits for us to say yes, run us a team. He in turn gets with the load planners and lets them know we are now a team. With a new driver, right out if school it's much more difficult, there many times, like with this particular load I'm on that the load planner forgets, overlooks or just doesn't have a true team available that we are dispatched as a team. At that point it's up to the trainer to get everyone on the same page about the load and the delivery time. Tim is real good at being our go between. I wish I could copy and paste my emails to him about this load I am on since the minute it was given to me while I was sitting in Henderson Nevada getting unloaded last Friday, but it's private company correspondence and I an not allowed to share it. Let's just say when I wrote in on Sunday night that the delivery wasn't going to happen as scheduled, it wasn't a surprise.

Come on Pete, I would never want to tarnish my halo......but when it come time for a true understanding, then I won't give a rats ### about my halo or whomever is on the receiving end.
