Safety Guy is now Equipment Manager and is reporting to our DDM... a new safety person is in training.

Of course, just when I was getting along with the old safety guy, now I gotta train up a new one... lol :D

Bill was replaced by, or rolled into, the DDM... so I guess they are splitting out Equipment from the DDM... or maybe recreating Bills old position?

Don't set your trailer brakes in the winter if you have been driving through snow and slush and what not cuz they will freeze up....I forgot to tell the team I swapped with to not set the trailer brakes and disconnect before I got there Monday night. After swapping first thing I did was release trailer brakes after hooking up and sitting til I gained hours this morning to move to hometime. But the brakes apparently were already frozen and I found that out trying to move this morning. Pouring rubbing alcohol in the lines didn't work so had to call breakdown and had to have a mechanic sent to get my trailer brakes unstuck. Id have crawled under myself if I had the proper tools or a torch to warm the brakes up.

Alcohol is usually useless in that situation. What happens is the brake linings freeze to the drum. BFH usually helps, as does a torch.

Banging the drums with a mini sledge will usually do the trick.

    Lonesome and jarhead0311 Thank this.

Picked up an empty 76xx trailer at Volvo in Reno yesterday. Of course, this one has been out of inspection since 9/19. The funny part? It was dragged all the way from Byhalia just so I could hook onto it in Reno and spend part of my day taking care of something that should have been addressed by the douche canoe who dropped it. No worries, it’s taken care of.

I am not at the level of checking inspection or registrations on every trlr yet(didnt drop that one),watch out your personal conveyance time, due to abusing it i no longer have it on the qualcomm,i dont think thats the right approach
