Totally agree. And with JBs experiences of late with trainees, well, I don’t think I’d want to do it either.

DM: "Hey, would you be interested in being a trainer?"
Me: "No."
DM: "..."
DM: "You don't have to answer right now."
Me: "Answer ain't gonna change. I can't sleep in a moving truck and I can't get good sleep during the day even in a stationary truck. Sounds like a recipe for me falling asleep at the wheel and messing up that pretty little truck of yours. To say nothing of me and the trainee and whoever might be in the next lane over."
DM: "Just think about it."
So at least they did start off asking people with 3+ years of experience driving for Abilene.MidWest_MacDaddy, runningman0661, jarhead0311 and 1 other person Thank this. -

They've never asked me to train,I really don't think this company likes me,if it wasn't for me being ontime they would've gotten rid of me.

Wasted whole day in Love's shop waiting to see what they wanted done with my trailer light being it needed repaired from the inside since it caught fire and burned up at some point before I hooked to it. Nobody got back to Love's mechanic so they let me go since seal needed broke and what not. Called breakdown and they said somebody went in the system and denied all repairs including my fuel filters needing changed. DM told me to drop the trailer at Lowe's as is....Ill just leave a note in the box. Safety issue if you ask me plus DOT sees that Im screwed more than likely. Tired of the circus here when it comes to maintenance. They should have just had me take it to RVA this morning where they could have gotten permission from shipper to break seal and move stuff out on the crossdock to rewire that area. Im sure they could have found something going west for my hometime. Ive never had too much of a problem getting a load to WA from yard. Maybe things really are getting worse....
Silverdriver and JohnBoy Thank this. -
