Probably not. XPO is who we have the the HP contract through and I've gotten non-HP XPO loads from time to time out in the wilds before the sale.

Yeah that's how they were doing me,after that family dollar hill phoenix they were calling every morning for about 4 days straight.

After a polite conversation with dm,haven't received another one.

Picked up a 6 series yesterday, that of course had a tire with chunks missing,so ill have to stop to get that fixed.

Too many cooks spoil the broth. Too many middle men steal all the money.

“Don’t call me. I’ll call you”.

Thankfully my place knows I don’t want or need to be bothered. If my dispatcher is hearing from me I have a big problem, and those are rare. Last time I had to call them was about four skids at a good shipper I didn’t have room for.

In my short time here, I’ve seen this company turnover completely into what it is today, a training company. The business model of a training company is micromanagement. Before I went on vacation, I had some serious screwups about my hometime that had me reserving a car in 3 different cities. Without going into a long dissertation, everything that could go wrong, went wrong, all on their end.

This company is a very good fit for ME. If I was a new driver looking for a new company, knowing how it’s all changed here, I would have to pass. I’m not going to bad mouth Abilene, I make good coin, run the lanes I like, get home when I want for as long as I want, and as @RebelChick has said, I have that short timer mentality.

It’s a shame when a driver that’s been here for 7 years, given the company 1.2 million safe on time miles, and has as many years driving safely under their belt, has to have his truck turned down because someone else got hit by a train. This idea of one size fits all, and getting checked on by some 30 year old sitting in front of a computer screen that isn’t in possession of a CDL, just makes me count down the days to retirement.

I like Abilene for what I have earned here, not what they offer. I left the house a week ago this past Wednesday, I spoke to my DM once, that was yesterday so he could fax my cab card and COI for my truck, that I’m responsible for. I’m under a load that I picked up in Oregon yesterday going to Riverside. I’ll be able to get a reset in in order to make sure I have the hours to get home. I’ll have 12K miles in by the time I get home in the 3 weeks I will have been gone. I got to run west like I want, then take a week off when I do get home. Those are the things that keep me here. The rest? I try not to let it get to me, that’s why we have this thread that was started so long ago, it allows me to stop in here and spew my garbage to the only people that will listen. Rant over, thanks guys!
