Got halfway to my next pickup and get a message the load got cancelled. Or someone else decided to haul it cheaper since was a broker load. Fortunately they found me another load in the same area. Brokered load of giant bags of almonds. Fortunately they had a scale on property and fortunately my axle weights turned out almost even when set for Cal bridge law so no playing reload game. Ca to Nc for 0600 Wed. Grossing almost 77k, going to be slow on the mountains and hills. Been a while since I been over Black Mountain in NC.

Vic Firth, JohnBoy and Finfn1372 Thank this.

It's a good bet but this guy knows better given who the account is. My DM and I came to the conclusion that since it was less than an hour to quittin' time on a Friday that particular planner had adopted a FIOH strategy: "Fuggit, I'm Outta Here."

    Well its my turn...:)
I been with Abilene for 3.3 years as a company driver and this past Wednesday 4, 2020 I dropped my last load in the West Memphis terminal and turned in my truck. I had previously already notify Abilene about my resignation and all things in my behalf were done in the proper manner.

I know you all might be curious about the reason.
Like all of you I have experienced many times a variety of events repeatedly that at this new point and time I just cannot continue; mainly coming out of home time to do a month of O.T.R. and finding myself dealing with , in a figure of speech , a roller coaster of miles. Last year I spoke up again and things changed only for a little while and then found myself back again in the same struggles. Speaking to my wife we noticed that monthly our medical bill's, house bill's etc. have gone up and my income was just not working. It was time for a decision to make a change.

Thank you to all my friends Abilene driver's in this forum
    .
I want to express a deep sincere appreciation to all my friends Abilene driver's here in this forum. For the past 3.3 year's I have enjoyed communicating with you all here and have seen what great people you all are with such great qualities....

1- RebelChick... You are very sincere and do your job with excellence; keep checking those trailers!
2- Mack E-6... Thank you for always keeping an eye on us here and kicking some psycho troll ###!
3- ExtremeUnction... You are a gifted writer and I'm convinced you can make a lot of mula- Money $$$ if you write a book!
4- Jarhead311... You are a great soldier of the good Lord. I think some day you will be a pastor helping people in their life struggles.
5- MacDaddy... You remind me always of Franck Octane our trainer a great person to be around with that makes people laugh.
6- Finfn1372... You are a dedicated person and dedication brings great achievements.
7- Barn Door Bill... I don't know but something tell's me deep down that you are very skillful and have some great computer technology training. (Please let me know sometimes I drink to much kool-Aid LOL)
8- ALL OTHERS... If I forgot you please forgive me.. Your name goes here! Your The Best!

    Last but not least...
    JohnBoy...
John you were the one that helped me 3.3 years ago in coming into Abilene and for the past years you helped me with the learning curve at Abilene and teach me how things are done. You have a great heart and like to help people out. I'm very grateful to you! I thank you for your help with my many questions and frustrations. You are a great friend and in my book The Best Trainer Abilene ever had! Their loss!

    Sorry...
Well let me end this here... In any family sometimes they step on each others toes. Not intentionally. It just happens. But , at the end of the day they still love each other and don't create a wall. I want to say sorry if in my years here at this forum I said something the wrong way. John I hope that some time or another I can chime in and say hello and tell you all how things are going. Its not like I'm going to China (And I won't go to China today even if they gave me 100 Billion Dollar's). I'm just around the corner.:D

Thank you all and be safe!;)
