Both. Because of covid19 and he has an infection. He is on the big 3 of IV antibiotics right now. Scared out of his mind. But also not really understanding what is happening. Only reason I know is because last night I was on the phone with him when the nurse came in and was explaining what they were hooking him up to and what was to be done today. Been through this.

This is my fear right now. What if I were 1,200 miles from home and came down with COVID19? If not hospitalized, how do you get home? Do you have to self quarantine in a truck for 14 days, get a motel room (if anyone will give you one), or just say "to hell with it" and attempt to drive home? I can easily come back out in a truck now that we are needed and I'm out of a job due to the virus, but I certainly don't want to get stuck in a Pilot who knows where all curled up in the back of a sleeper wishing I would die.

Exactly why I parked my truck in the yard, rented a car and drove home.

Yeah that's why I put in for home time starting this weekend. I figured that by next week most places would be shut down and I didn't want to take a chance with my company possibly sending me to California when I live in Virginia.

Knowing how California is ran, they'd love to be the first to totally shut down their border to the rest of the country.

When I come back out in 2 weeks it's going to be a little bit different I think.

And it is exactly what I feared. His driving career is done. I’m just thankful he is still alive. I haven’t talked to him yet, but have been in touch with his son. My heart is heavy for him and his family. They were in a bit of a financial bind before and he was the only bread winner. His wife is also very ill. You just never know what life has in store for you around the corner.

That is a good idea. No clue how to go about doing that.
