Yup... we are lucky that our wheels are turning... one of the more selfish reasons that I volunteered to run Publix... wasn’t sure what was coming and everyone needs food flowing through the system... and ya, like JB said, seems to pay a bit better per day than I was getting... so I’m a bit selfish too.

    And thankful to be working.

    Crusader66 and Evomalo Thank this.

When you get to your delivery 45 minutes early and the contractor still hasn’t shown up. AND it’s one of those ones where dispatch calls you an hour before delivery appointment to make sure you’re going to be on time. SMH! Truckin’, gotta love it!!!!! Have a great day, everyone!!!!!

Edit: LOL they got here and hour and a half late and couldn’t find the forklift key. Still here at 9 am for 3 coolers and a 6 am delivery. Oh well, this is when hourly is great!

I’m all ready to head out tomorrow. I have enough of everything to last me 30 days. I heard Abilene has put in place food items and water. Though I do appreciate the concern and effort on the companies part, I made sure I’m taken care of before I leave. I’ll let any driver take what would be allotted to me, I’m sure there’s some folks that aren’t as fortunate or who can’t get some things.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

Not sure if you all got notified yet about the prepositioned food/water items. Every Knight/Swift/Abilene terminal in the country has foodstuffs, water and other essentials positioned for us.

Plenty of water at RVA. Food? Eh, nothing special. Some Stacy’s chips, grits, and rice a roni cups is all I have seen. The food is down at the dock. The water is on the patio.

Well, that’s something. Makes what they have at RVA look like crap.
