I don't even know how to go about claiming unemployment. That is something that has never been on my radar, ever. I might go look it up just in case nothing pans out in the next couple weeks. From what I have heard from another driver before I was laid off, the website where you sign up is so overloaded that it is all but non functional. And this was over a week ago.
An extra 600 (or 6000) per week does no one any good if they can't collect it.

All you need is the dates you were laid off,
And whatever date you go back to work.
When you get it, it's all retroactive.
It might take 3 months, but when the check comes
It's for the whole amount, from the day you got
Laid off up until that point.
We're talking thousands of dollars, depending
On how long your out of work.
There's millions of people trying to get through
To them right now.
They can't handle the volume.
When they finally catch up, there's gonna be a
Boatload of big checks being sent out to a lot
Of people. You included.
You don't lose it by not being able to get through
To them yet. They'll eventually catch up.
Even if you go back to work, your still eligible
For that time you were laid off.
We're talking about somewhere around a grand
A week in cash total, between what you get from
The state and the 600 a week more in the stimulus.
That's a lot of freaking money.
That's more then most people made at the job
They got laid off from.
It's just a waiting game.
There hoping a lot of people get frustrated with
The backlog and say f-ck it.
Just keep checking on you states website.
When it's up and running, put you application in.Barn Door Bill, JohnBoy, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this. -

Straight from the Florida Unemployment website:
How Much Will My Florida Unemployment Benefits Pay?
The weekly payment amount you receive during unemployment will vary from person to person. The only way to be sure of your benefit amount is to submit a claim.
The state determines your weekly benefit payments based on your previous earnings during employment. In 2020, you can receive a maximum of $275 per week for 12 weeks. You are entitled to a maximum benefit amount of $3,300.
