Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Unemployment may not be there to back those up who do decide to wait it out without enough resources saved up either. Its been 3 weeks since I applied, but have yet to hear or receive anything. The website is down and no one is answering the phones. Makes me wonder how those who lived paycheck to paycheck are even feeding their families.

I've been off since the end of March. Supposed to be going back May5.
With state unemployment, and what the feds kick in, I'm making almost a grand a week, before taxes. Doing this.....

We must be having issues with some of the replacement drivers down here on the Publix job... been driving this gig for over a month... yesterday and today I get calls for status check to see if I’m checked in and rolling or not... lol

 

That's what I heard,lease driver went down there,than wasn't showing up .

 

OMG! Can breakdown get any more pathetic? Picked up a trl with a flat. Huge hole in it. Called breakdown. 30 minutes on hold. Get told they are calling such and such repair and it should be about 90 minutes. If I don’t hear/see them by then to call back. Called the place that was supposed to come out. Nope. Knight wanted to use their national account for the tire and they don’t do that. Had I not called the repair shop, I would have never known. At least Volvo Action would keep you informed about what was going on. These folks, not so much. Geez. I guess I’m waiting on Loves out of Franklin or Disputanta now. On hold waiting for breakdown again. Anyone wanna place a bet on how long it’ll take for them to answer this time?

 

Getting holdof them and waiting for approval takes longer than the repair usually. Shoulda stayed with volvo action....

 

Florida dropped the ball big time. I was lucky in that I was at least able to apply, took me 4 hours (3am -7am) though with the webpages taking forever to refresh or just crashing and making me start all over again. No one else I know has even been able to get that far. Not that it did me any good as I am no better off than those that can't even apply. Forget trying to call, you get through the silly menus enter social etc, then the computer says Representatives are busy, thank you for calling then click, it ends the call.
