Food food food, cruising is all about the food! Lol. You got me on the total amount of cruises JB but we did 3 in 8 months in 2010, gotta love last minute deals and living in Florida at the time made it easy!
Its been 2 years since our Alaskan cruise and we are in desperate need of another. Probably go out of Canaveral next Spring and do the eastern Caribbean. Maybe fly to San Juan and do the southern instead. Decisions decisions ...

Getting empty here in Clarksville AR. When I'm done I need to drop this empty reefer at BH in Forrest City, bobtail to our W Memphis yard and pick up an empty dry van, then deadhead to LaVergne TN for a drop and hook and bring that load to our Wytheville yard tonight. Then hook a load there going to Phoenix Az. This is one of the nice things about Abilene, you never have to worry about getting empty at 4am on a Saturday, there's always freight and miles. This is about the sixth time I've been empty on the weekend and had something set up to keep rolling.

Busy is good.....keep those wheels a moving! Bet George wished he could have done just that yesterday after having to have repairs on his reefer not once but twice! At least nearly half of his day was blown wauting on repairs. He said they had to replace the alternator to the reefer.
BTW, JB, in reference to your cruise and your personal "job related issues," that's the way it should be. When you go on vacation, there should be no worries, just fun and R & R! Sorry Lesli has to carry hers with her. Hope she can keep it to a bare minimum. Rebel Chick, that's the fun kind of decisions, deciding on where & when to go on a cruise!
Sorry so chatty! (George comes home today & I'm excited! ) Any word from Big Brin? I hope things are ok with him.JohnBoy Thanks this. -
Sitting at Bunge Oil in Decatur and it would appear our 11:30 pick up isn't happening because, well Bunge Oil does not work weekends! But I did graduate to stage 2 and got my increase with it!!

Wow. I just watched a "trainer" for Stevens flip out in front of his student at 3 drivers and the staff at TA in Wytheville because his student could park. Its almost 3 in the morning. Why is a newbie even driving if he can't park. I admit I switched. I called Stevens told them how unprofessional and in appropriate this guy was being in front of his student. If you can't handle the stress, then don't do it. I seriously hope they get this trainee a new trainer before he gets turned off but the industry.

I got my produce delivered Saturday morning at 4am, not without an issue though, they refused 105 cases of peppers. It took me from 5:30am until 1pm to get it resolved. To say it was a massive headache would be an understatement. I started the messaging and phone calling right at 7am. All I can say is my previous DM was absolutely zero help. It's a long story so I'll just leave it alone. I was finally told to bring it to the West Memphis drop yard and leave it there with the reefer running all weekend. On my way there they notified me that they got the ok to dump the product. Cool, not by me though, I don't handle freight and I'm sure as hell not carrying 105 cases from the front of the trailer to the rear. I was told to shut the reefer off and someone would dispose of the product on Monday. I got to thinking of what the trailer would smell like on Monday and called in to see if they wanted me to leave the door open, I was told yes and that was the end of the pepper fiasco.
I grabbed an empty and headed to LaVergne to get my load. I was done there at 10pm and made it to the 268 and called it a night. We got to wytheville and dropped that trailer about 1pm, hooked an empty then got a deadhead move to the richmond yard. On our way over we got our new load assignment, pick up a load on the yard going to Gardendale Al for 10 am in the morning. My shift started at 7pm, we fueled, showered then I drove the 685 miles all night to get to my 10am delivery on time. We were done dropping at 11am and got our new load assignment. Pick up in Birmingham going to Covington Va for the morning. Right now we are coming into K'town, we will be calling it a night soon.Lonesome, gntorres61 and The Challenger Thank this. -
I feel your pain JB. Had all 44k lbs of beef rejected at Food Lion on Saturday. Too cold and frozen. Baby sat it all day Saturday and most of Sunday. Wound up in Lakeland FL at Colorado Boxed beef, but got swapped out and headed home.
JohnBoy Thanks this.
